Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the bright and morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
I am yours

I begged Kenneth for this breath-taking picture... all
tranquility and peace...
My new pencil case. Isn't it sweet? And it is waterproof... =p
I don't usually buy CDs but this is too irresistable after I watched the movie.

I simply find this
amusing so I took a picture of it. Somehow, it looks like a man is changing the baby's diaper.
Will I have the courage to do it? When nobody believes in me? No, not even my closest kin. To go against all odds. To swim against the current. To break new grounds. To risk my reputation. To abandon myself. To surrender my all. Everything for obedience, which is better than sacrifice. Evan Almighty. Oh…

I am an easily contented gal. You can ‘buy my heart’ with just a few jelly beans and sweets. Haha. The student teachers ‘bribed’ us with this bowl of lovely candies for a student-led seminar and I got awfully exited. Cheap thrill? I am satisfied with a cup of hot chocolate on freezing rainy days too. Hm... Or a card? A smile?
Here is Joash... airing his armpit? =O
My heart melts whenever he ''manja''... ...
The sign was finally changed. I think Marie may love it for the very fact that it is pink!I think I either frightened or embarrassed Mr J today, along the corridor. He was perhaps too engrossed in his own thoughts. But I could not ignore him since he walked past. I whispered “J…” and it took him a few seconds before he responded. Funny! And we just met him when we left the library!
We managed to punk Sharon, the Queen of Punks! Look out for more juicy stuff on her blog! All thanks to Michelle’s brilliant acting skills (which was amazingly too natural?!) and Jiahao, who did not pale in comparison, considering the fact that it must be his virgin drama? And he remarked that I look like a Tibetan! It blew my mind off. I was mistaken for a Thai rather often. Sometimes, people think I am a Malay, Indian, Eurasian etc. And yes, one student thought I am a Filipino.

Went to IMM for dinner with TomSumJo. We had the family meal at Long John Silver and look at the usual mess made by the precious prince... hahaha.
Watched Hairspray with a friend and then had hot chocolate at McDonald's with my 'second' family... ... and maybe extended family as well since Kenneth was there too? Anyway, it tasted like Milo so it is not really worth the money. And I am going to buy the soundtrack for Hairspray!!!
These two boys are my neighbour's. Aren't they cute?
School ends at 7.30pm on Tuesdays for me and this is how NIE looks like then... another side of her?
Yes, to some, this is the hideous purple dinosaur who invades the little minds of children... but it is Jojo's favourite! He was wailing hysterically when his dad swiftly carried him away.
Went to BV Primary School on Thursday to execute a Science Enrichment course. Guess what was the first question they asked? They questioned my nationality. Sigh...I did not get into the finals for Starlite. No... it is not a blow to my confidence. I am well aware that I do not sing like a professional but I am very sure that I sing quite beautifully! Hehe. Go on, turn on the volume and listen. I sang it!!! Perhaps I was too nervous and not expressive enough. I did not maintain any eye contact too. And there is another major factor which I will not blog about because it is too delicate an issue. But I did tell a few friends. However, it was a great experience on the whole and I will give it another go if the chance arises again.

Not saying this with a tinge of prejudice. After all, it is
your perspective that taints your world. I was at the bus interchange when I saw a man holding out
his hand to his woman, just to help her get down the bus safely. What a loving act! I believe it is unanimous response to admire and respect old couples holding their partners’ wrinkled hands. So, is marriage a sentence? Haha. Someone said it really is about giving your life partner an exclusive tender place in your thoughts. And that the greatest gift you can give to your children is to love your spouse wholeheartedly. Whao!
He pointed to the advertisement in the newspaper and asked “New?”. That, was a subtle hint for a meal together. And so, we had a
date, at KFC at Cause way Point. He was very considerate – knows I am left with only one pathetic tuition assignment which will come to a stop end of this month – offered to pay for dinner. Of course, I was the one who suggested eating together, and so I paid. It is always warm to eat with dad though these times are not marked with many conversations. He is a quiet man.
Du zi chang zhe ji mo de hei ye
Yong ren zi rao de xiang zhe
Deng dai yi jiu ai shen de jian
Shou zhong dai tu de xin
No, not going to have these translated into Mandarin. It is meant to be.
Been searching for a
box to hold a cup. When can I find a suitable one?
Now for Starlite 07, the first ever singing competition in NIE. Tentatively, am going to croon Celine Dion’s The Power of Love since Mandarin songs are not accepted. Audition details? Tuesday at 4.10pm.
Haha!
Ps Tim mentioned my name during sermon today - that I am a great babysitter and married couples with children can ask me to take care of their darlings while they go 'par thaw'. So, Gillian = Babysitter? Am I more virtuous now? Haha. Think many have the misconception that I have been babysitting Joash. In actual fact, I do bring Faith and Krystal swimming from time to time, inevitably having Ps Tim and Phemie enjoy some time to themselves. That is how I earned my credentials. Keke. Anyway, I don't think I have the capability to take care of Jojo singlehandedly currently. Mummies are still the best, yah! And it is a pleasure to care for Jojo because he is my godson. If bliss comes in capsules, carrying Jojo is equivalent to a tin of it! By the way, charges for babysitting varies from person to person, time to time. =D

One of my tutorials was somnolent. First, the ‘thirty-ish’ (that was how he introduced himself) tutor assumed we wanted to watch X-Men because we hankered after Wolverine’s chest hair. Then he instructed us to look for a partner, not a life partner, to discuss our answers. Finally, he merely copied the answers from a script onto the whiteboard, and told us to duplicate the answers on our papers. He had to almost entirely rely on one classmate to assist him in maneuvering the computer, lighting, projector etc. And I salute Lee Ching for yawning loudly right in front of him. Haha. Have to give him another chance, I supposed. Maybe it will get better? Remain eupeptic, Gil!!!
I am so glad to be in A’s class. Learnt lots of new and fascinating things in school though some are pretty dry. How do you pronounce ‘differ’? Are you saying ‘defer’ instead? The emphasis is on ‘di’ for the former and ‘fer’ on the latter. Any idea what pneumonultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis is? Break the word up into smaller bites to decipher. It is actually black lung disease. What has sense and reference according to traditional and modern views? What are the differences between phonetics and phonology? What are the differences between semantics and pragmatics? What exactly is counseling psychology? How do you cultivate humanity in education? What are your opinions on moral, citizenship, multicultural, and religious education? More to come!
This is frightening but as I was doing my quiet time and reading the bible this morning, I began asking myself ‘Does this have reference? Sense?’. Eeewwww… … On a better note, I have been reading Elizabeth George’s Woman After God’s Own Heart and it really motivates me on how to be one! The author is inspiring - the things she does as a wife, mother, friend, minister, preacher, speaker etc. – and I am encouraged on how to be an excellent wife and mother (when the day comes). Can’t wait to finish the book, but as it is understood, there are many things which scream for our attention and we need to prioritise.
Registered for a singing competition with Pearlyn in NIE all in the name of fun. We need to attend the audition first though. It will be a totally new experience! Carpe diem!
Longing and withdrawing
Opening and closing
Thinking and pausing
Trying and quitting
Argh… … Tension and conflicts.

It was Sharon's birthday on Sunday. A group of us had a sumptuous dinner at The Vines Restaurant. The variety, portion and quality of food were attractive.
Candlelight dinner?
Joash was having fun with my hand cream...
This is my Didi Dardar... who is a very nice boy at heart... still single but not really available... Haha
Kenneth could have passed off as my boyfriend, according to Sharon, if he were to dress more maturely. Does Esther resemble him?

It was supposed to be her birthday dinner celebration but generous Tommy decided to give a few of us a treat. Speechless...
How do you know if you are in love? Someone said that you will know when you want to see that person in every single moment. How sweet! I salute XX for declaring her love for that special someone through her blog. Whao! I don’t think I have the courage to do so. And does everyone who is in love glow? I see that she is a great example. Keke.
The commitment and compassion to reach for the lost… …
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your kingdom’s cause
As I walk from earth into eternity
We are back as friends, after what seemed like a cold callous war.

Took numerous pictures with my little angels. One, according to her mother by an sms, was crying and asking for me at night! In fact, this beautiful darling also called me the day before on my mobile just to tell me that she misses me. Argh… I am missing them already. Another baby even made something for me on my last day (Please refer to the last picture). My, I am so impressed! As usual, the cards came flooding in and I can still remember their hugs and smiles.

School at NIE has started and the timetable disallowed me to continue with my tuitions on Tuesday and Wednesday evening (classes end at 6.30pm and 7.30pm respectively). Source of income brutally cut off. And the textbooks are pricey. Thank God I have my student pass now to get concession rate for traveling to and fro NIE. Although I have 4 and 2 hours break in between lessons, I am glad I am off on Thursdays. So far, I have been enjoying all my lectures and tutorials. There is so much more to learn and a few lecturers certainly help spark off that curiosity and thirst for more.

Jojo is simply in love with
Barney. See how he holds him...
We were at IMM when Jojo could not take his hands and legs off this... ...
Finally, Jojo decided to let Justin carry him for a few minutes. All because of a bunch of keys!
Was celebrating Kenneth's (Esther's brother) birthday over dinner with his family at North Point. Tommy, Sharon, Daphne and Joash came and had theirs at the food court. That was how these two precious toddlers met. And they played happily ever after. Hahaha.

Jojo was hilarious. He merely muttered "bye bye " when I asked him to greet a dear friend on the mobile. This precious sweetheart never fails to tickle people. Hope the gem on the other line was not offended.
