Was at Kovan and Zhiyong highly recommended this Punggol Nasi Lemak for dinner. The queue was long despite the fact that we were considered early. You should have seen the queue after 6pm! I love the chicken wing – marinated with spices which burst in your mouth immediately when your teeth sink into the tender succulent flesh. The skin was fried to a crisp which left my tour guide screaming for more! I had curry vegetables to go along with the pleasantly fragrant rice. Zhiyong gave me one of his fried dumplings while I shared half of my otak with him.
We went to Ang Mo Kio after that and met up with TomSumJo, Mich and Ken. Zhiyong had heard much about Jo but this was his first time meeting the prince. I think he was very tickled by the precious darling. I mean, who wouldn’t, after looking at his face smeared with Oreo ice-cream? And both Ken and Mich found Zhiyong familiar. Yes, he was the blur guy who left his mobile with me and had to meet me up before the Punk Dinner for Rachel to get it back.
Zhiyong went home – needed to rest early for his run early next morning. We had arranged to catch a movie on Sunday afternoon – Resident Evil. The rest of us went to TomSum’s cosy nest and had this weird looking ice-cream. Isn't that fantastic - we were just attracted by its packaging. Ah... women?
Resident Evil was gruesome – I had difficulty sleeping on Sunday night and my mild diarrhea did not help. And thanks to Zhiyong for scaring me during the movie. But he was very patient with me as I went shopping for a friend’s birthday gift. We went from North Point to Causeway Point and finally, the end point. Haha. He was my model for that evening – thanks, friend!
He is a filial guy – visited his grandpa after we parted. So Mich, interested? =p
