I think I was bored… so bored that I flipped through my dictionary and amused myself with these:
Some of my closer friends call me ‘gillie’ which is defined in the dictionary as a man or boy who helps somebody who is shooting or fishing for sport in Scotland!
The word ‘hack’ has multiple meanings of which included a taxi, a horse for ordinary riding or one that can be hired, and a writer, especially of newspaper articles, who does a lot of low quality work and does not get paid much. Haha. Is that writer a horse or taxi now?
A megalomaniac is a person who is suffering from a mental illness or condition – an exaggerated belief in their own importance or power. Are you suffering from this?
Tommy, this is for you. “Tommy” is defined as a British solder! Perhaps “a soldier of God” will be a better description?
Going to rest soon. It's a long day ahead!

Stayed overnight at TomSumJo's place and couldn't sleep until six in the morning. Think it is due to the
green tea I had during dinner. Jojo woke up twice at night... My stomach started growling at around 3am and it was definitely a treat to have dim sum for brunch. We went to Harbourfront's Dragon Gate Restaurant with Yvonne.
Jo seemed to be enjoying the porridge so much that we ordered another bowl for him.

See, such a generous portion!
.jpg)
I chanced upon this dish because I usually order the same old food. Came as a pleasant surprise!
.jpg)
I love the red bean paste there as well.

One day, I will be back, Sentosa. Wait for me...

dark nail polishes are more suitable for me and I totally agree - blame it on my tan complexion?

What Tan Pao Yun Gillian Means
You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. (Huh? Don't think so. I love to stay at home at times and I don't have the money to travel that often!) You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.
You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. (Really?)
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. (Hahaha! Funny!)
You are influential and persuasive. You tend to have a lot of power over people. Generally, you use your powers for good. You excel at solving other people's problems. Occasionally, you do get a little selfish and persuade people to do things that are only in your interest. (Didn't know that I am that powerful! *laugh*)
You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you. At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.
You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. (Ya, especially when I lack sleep and behave in the most amazing manner!) You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care. (Too busy having fun? What fun?)
You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way. And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life. (I agree with this, though! Can only attribute to His hand in my life.) You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it. (How do I spread? With a knife?)
You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life. You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone. Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don't appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs. (But there is no one really interfering in my affairs!)
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long (Try using Superglue!). You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. (But I almost always finish projects which I started! I mean, I have to!)
You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. (The secret is in Christ?)
Verdict: One drop of tear (five drops being the most entertaining)

37. Why did you answer and post this?
I told Sharon that I will do so after my exams.
38. Name 5 people who would do this survey.
How about Marie, Shuxin, Sylvia, Michelle and Suzanne?
-8:59 AM
Exams are finally over! But now that the holidays are here, I feel kind of lost. Tuitions will cease until beginning of July (I think) and that means no income. I will either have to stay at home (and be bored to tears) or go out (which means more cash outflow). Dilemma! Argh... ... I can't do relief teaching because of my status. Part-time jobs? On the lookout!
To celebrate, Marie, Shuxin, Sylvia and I went to Cafe Cartel at IMM for dinner. I was behaving abnormally - due to lack of sleep, I believe. Made the gals laugh with... ... (Shhhh) Moving on, here comes glorious food!
Marie's... ...

Shuxin's... ...

Sylvia's imitation of KFC... ...

My Hawaiian Pork Chop, which is a disappointment because it tasted rather bland. The initial surprise was the generosity of the portion but after consuming, I realised that the fats alone made up a third of the meat! Not my cup of tea? Not my cut of meat? I enjoyed the two miserable slices of cucumber though, and did I mention that the baby carrots were far too sugary? Ewe... *_*

This peach waffle is a treat for those with a sweet tooth but my marginal utility (MU) was reached after my main course. MU practically went downhill when I was compelled by the rest of the gang to clear the dessert. Argh...

Where do I go from here?

Am going to get her out after my last paper! Can't wait to live normally again?

Happy Earth Day!!!From my Daily Bread
You don't have to tour Resurrection Bay in Alaska to appreciate the natural marvels of our earth, but it helps.
You don't have to snorkel the warm waters of Jamaica to be impressed with the hidden beauty of our planet's seas, but it helps.
You don't have to view the Rockies, experience the Rock of Gibraltar, or gaze at Mount Fuji to realise how awe-inspiring are the vistas of our globe, but it helps.
Experiencing firsthand the majesty of the mountains and the glory of the oceans can leave us breathless as we ponder how spectacular our big blue marble really is.
Today is Earth Day, a commemoration of our global home and a reminder of our responsibility to be careful stewards of this orb. But celebrating the greatness of our unique home among the planets can take on a dangerous slant if we leave our one key element. Contemplating the grandeur of earth should remind us that we are merely "the people of His pasture" (Psalms 95:7), and we must worship "our Maker" (Psalms 95:6). The creation was flung into space to point to God and His greatness, power, and majesty. He alone deserves our praise and worship!

Went to Miss Clarity Café again. My portion of Fish Cordon Bleu was too much for me but I love it! The Potato and Mushroom Fricassee was delicious as usual but a little expensive for a side dish and unless I am famished, I’ll give it a miss the next time I am there. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable dinner with TomSumJo, Mich and Xinying.
Joash’s new love is sushi! Look at the way he enjoys his crab mayo sushi! Seems like he likes to do marketing by pushing the basket on the floor and having bystanders give way to him as he maneuvers his way through the crowd. Haha.

Shuxin said I am like a little kid when I was close to tears on the bus. The fact that I will not be taught by DRT again is sinking in gradually. I’m so sad… because she is so nice! I really like her as my tutor but at the same time, we are stressed to want to perform well for her module because we do not want to disappoint her. Argh… Well, today’s paper is a huge load off and we decided to pamper ourselves by having lunch at Sakae at NTU. I was craving for meat for no reason and I was very satisfied with my tuna sushi there. Think I need some good rest too because I couldn’t sleep well on Tuesday and Wednesday night. In fact, I felt really dizzy on the night before the paper for DPT that I was a little worried. I seldom feel this way and the loss of balance and seeing things spin around you are frightening. I prayed really hard and thank God I was better on Thursday morning. Thanks to all who have been praying for me too. In fact, I am extremely thankful to God for giving me around 6 hours of solid rest last night. I believe I dozed off while praying. =I I almost couldn’t believe it when I woke up this morning and found out that I slept through from approximately 12 to 6! Done with two and two more to go.

Met up with my uni friends recently! Thanks to ACL who painstakingly organised a dinner on the day before my ALS test. Well, I went any way. Haven’t seen Joseph, Kexin and Jason in years? Dropped in at the bridal studio to surprise Dage and Weiling. Can’t wait to attend their wedding in May! It will be my first time as the emcee for a wedding dinner. Getting the jitters though I had performed in one before. It is different, I reckon, to speak the right words at the right time. Haa. Was asked to be one of the ‘jie mei’ too! Next will be Jason’s and Kexin’s ringing of the wedding bells in June.
Took care of Esther last Saturday after bringing her sis for a swim. It was a pity that Faith couldn’t join us. Think I didn’t do a good job making Esther feel good. Felt really terrible. *sigh* But Sharon said that her behaviour is common for children her age. Nonetheless, bought her an adorable bag as compensation. Believe she enjoyed herself at Trinity though.

Had lunch at Breeks with Stella, Rus and Mich at Causeway Point. Had a great time catching up. Although we will be different churches, the friendship remains. After all, Singapore isn’t that big! There is always an occasion to call for a gathering! Will miss Stella and Rus badly – They are a few of the ‘bestest’ friends I have in YMM.
Had lunch with Marie, Sylvia and Shuxin last Monday, after our last lecture with DPT. It was a pretty embarrassing lecture towards the end when a picture of me was flashed in the PowerPoint without my permission! Why didn’t he ask me??? Anyway, I enjoyed my lunch at Jurong Point. Seriously, a student’s life is the best!
Waited forty-five minutes for them and they didn't even bother to apologise until I voiced my annoyance. I can understand if people are late for ten to fifteen minutes but this is rather atrocious! And there wasn't even any logical and rational reasons for their lack of punctuality! Argh...
Celebrated my aunt’s birthday with her yesterday. Happy and blessed birthday, "Sa Yi"! Hee. She brought along her two princesses. This is Esther, the younger of the two. She was having some of my noodles for lunch.

This is Krystal, savouring her double scoops of ice-cream.
Went to TomSumJo's place after that, before making our way to Trinity. Took this picture some time ago - drawn by Joash. Reminds me of "Snuffie", which he drew in my birthday card. An artist in the making?
This precious one is like a vacuum cleaner for knowledge? Keeps asking for books to be read to him. He was chuckling away over the word "joey" when I was reading to him last night. Cute!
This was taken last Saturday, I think. My hand looked like that of a ghost next to Didar's. Scarily pale! Must tan myself soon?

Had dinner at TomSumJo's place last night. Had a chat with Sharon and was ventilating quite a bit. Didn't manage to watch Awake because I was feeling a little tired and my lenses were dry. Went home with two donuts, and a Portuguese egg tart and soya bean curd bought by Tommy. Thanks, father of my Godson. Haha!
"Power is potential strength while might is power displayed" and this caught my attention. He is my Jehovah Jireh - my Provider. He is my Jehovah Tsidkenu - my Righteousness. He is my Jehovah Shalom - my Peace. He is my Jehovah Rah - my Shepherd. He is my Jehovah Rapha - my Healer. He is my Jehovah Nissi - my Banner. He is Jehovah Shammah - my God who will never leave me nor forsake me.
Someone reminded me - honouring our parents is not just about not ill-treating them. It is about loving them both in tangible and intangible ways. Had a chat with dad while mopping the floor just now. Sometimes, I feel that he is lonely. Am trying my best to give him the attention that he deserves. Well, we have a date tomorrow - marketing at NTUC. He sound pretty excited. Haha.
It is hard to fathom his thoughts and the fact that he doesn't open up made it worse. I wish we could return to those days in the past. Those late nights of chatting and talking about endless issues in life. Why is it so difficult nowadays? I really think we have to learn to be vulnerable though we risk getting hurt. Alright, we fail to see problems in the right perspective. Keep praying!!!
