Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the bright and morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
I know that this is an ancient song but the lyrics are just too meaningful to be ignored. I believe all of us would want to find that one special person who will be able to make us feel this way. Perhaps Leslie hadn't found his before his death. What about you?
Watched Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian with my aunt, Krystal and Esther yesterday. Holidays are meant to be sprinkled with bonding sessions? Haa. Intend to bring the little ones out, say, to Chinese Garden or even to experience prawning and more! Had our lunch at Banquet and though it is pretty well-known to Woodlanders, the Fried Kuey Teow I had wasn't as fabulous as I had imagined it to be. Worse, I had diarrhoea at night and it could only be my lunch because I had a late dinner. And I would want to watch the movie again because there are just so many interesting details to look at. Perhaps I should borrow the book and read. My aunt bought the little princess a purple (her favourite colour, just like me) hair band, which made her look really adorable! She loves to have her pictures taken. Hoho!

It's raining again... ... rain, feel it on my fingers, hear it on my window panes...
Went to JB with Danny yesterday. He was late for approximately 15 minutes and I waited until 9.45am. We then boarded the bus and reached City Square amazingly at 10.10am! Totally 'jam free'! Haa. Most of the shops were still closed and we sat down for a chat while enjoying our ice milk tea. Went to get movie tickets at around 11am before heading to KimGary Resturant (TomSum's next 'target') and I love my brunch there, probably because I am a 'soupy' person. The seaweed fries was a disappointment though. Caught a movie (my first time there) - What Happens in Vegas - which was hilarious and sweet. We shopped and I bought papers for teaching purposes (did I hear 'KS'?), as well as magazines. And then we settled down at Kenny Rogers for drinks again. Yes, we started yakking again for over two hours before going for dinner. Had to leave around 8.45pm because I wanted to be back in time for Healing Hands 3 at 11pm. Along the way back, we were laughing over the fact that we are each other's record holders, for having spent the longest time ever in City Square. We dedicated a lot of time to catching up, and the topics varied from NIE to working life in school to students to our past holidays... ... He is very conversational for a guy, I must admit. One of my greatest finds through GESL in NIE. Can't wait for another KTV session with this natural singer! Yes, friendships take efforts to stand the test of time.

Went to the museum with TomSumJo on Monday. I believe I haven't been there for donkey years!

My kind of music, song, tempo... love her voice!
Katie Melua's version of Moon River...

Chose this for my godson. His mum said he looked like a chipmunk. I say he looks like a cool star!
Went marketing with dad and bro at night. Justin parked his car next to this adorable find. Couldn't resist taking pictures of it with my mobile.
And SpiderJo is the man of the day! He is just irresistibly dashing in this shirt! And yes, he is striking a pose.

Went to AMK Hub last week and bought these for TomSumJo. It was a weekday afternoon but the queue was, as usual, long. I prefer the steamed sponge cake better than the durian pancakes.
TomSum bought these crab-stick puffs from Polar - their aroma was alluring but they didn't taste as delicious as what we had expected.
Sharon bought this for me - cute! It's the donuts craze or what?
Went to Jack's Place last Thursday with ZY before catching Indiana Jones. My favourite is the Lobster bisque soup!
Went JB - love the Portuguese egg tarts at City Square! We tried a another dish at our usual Japanese restaurant - pretty good!

It was an exhausting yet ecstatic experience on Monday. Afterall, Dage and Wee Leng finally tied the knot! It was fun being one of the 'jie mei' again. Everything went well, just like what I have asked for in prayers, except that I made a little 'boo boo' as the emcee during the 'yum seng'. So if anyone is looking for an emcee for entertainment, I think I fit the bill? It was pretty fun working with Ke Chin (co-host) and the other sisters although we are not very close (in fact, most of us don't even know one another until we met to prepare for Dage's and Wee Leng's wedding). Will talk more on this event after I am well-rested. And thanks to Tommy, who came all the way from Woodlands to Swissotel to bring me home after such a long day! I promise to love my godson more, yah? Hee.
Mum bought me another wallet made of the skin of stingrays - gave the last one she purchased for me to dad. Will be keeping this for myself because it does look unique after staring at it for a while. Haa.

Went to http://baike.baidu.com/view/255619.htm and this is what I saw:
宝云(Sir George Ferguson Bowen),是英国派驻香港的第九任港督。现在香港岛湾仔区的宝云道就是以他的名字命名的。 —————————————————————————————— 名人姓名:宝云 出生年代:1821—1899 名人职称: 名人国家:英国
Didn't know 宝云 is a male... and he is dead...

This week is coming to an end and it hasn't been easy. I am actually afraid to watch the news now! It just doesn't feel good looking helplessly at the featured stories of the disaster in Sze Chuan. And hearing the woeful groans and cries of both adults and children over their losses simply breaks my heart. I cannot see people in tears because I will cry too. Even talking about it with TomSum and Mich just now was unbearable. It is not going to be easy for them to continue their lives so may God grant them divine strength to do so. *deep sigh*

My aunt wanted to get the 3-ways pouches, which I bought extras the last time I met the seller. Did any catch your eyes?

Took pictures of Jo having fun with his dad's guitar... this darling is surely musically -inclined!
This confusing-looking puzzle is chicken feat for close to 28 months old godson!
What was he holding? I told him they were strawberry ice-creams and he played along with me. *yum yum* Gave these (supposed to be attached with chains) to my students and they were delighted!
Bought a similar-looking new pair of shoes with Xin. Hers is cherries on black background while mine is ladybugs on white background (think Sharon will love mine). In fact, we also got ourselves one identical white dress and belt. Girlish? Am reminded of one of the silliest things I did back during my Uni days. A group of us (including Dage) bought similar Hawaiian-styled shirts in different colours and wore them to school for one particular examination. Yes, we probably made headlines that day as we strolled from place to place. *giggle*
Haven't been sleeping well these few days - wonder why. Seem to drift in and out of dreamland. Slept at 2am, woke up at 4am, slept again at 5am and woke at at 7am. That was it! I even crawled out of bed to read Women's Weekly for an hour. Something is wrong... ... And something is right, because my camera is 'revived'! It seems to be working again! Well, I will have to resign to fate if it dies again on Monday... *pray*

Was thinking… maybe I am the oldest Group Leader for the coming orientation camp. Argh… not growing up?
Both Xin and I love Wu Zun better in 花样少男少女… Hee… Yes, I think I have this soft spot for shy guys… haa… And both of us aren’t satisfied with the ending of the show. We want their confessions!
Got to know a new friend, who happened to be a friend of my friend. Am I making sense? He makes me really want to go KTV because we were talking about the types of songs we usually sing.
Can’t wait to be away from here… June is saying ‘welcome’!
Had a great time shopping with Xin today. But I also burnt a hole in my pocket. Maybe next time we should go Minds Café again – cheaper form of entertainment.
Missing TomSumJo… but hearing them is good enough too! And Jo is still saying ‘bye bye’… *sad*
I almost blew my top during tuition just now. He is really a test of my patience. Think I should be thankful it is the last session. *phew*
Getting ready for Dage’s and Wei Wei’s wedding. The script is ready!
Feel like dancing. Believe I have been watching too many videos on YouTube – addictive!
My biological clock has gone topsy-turvy! Frightening!
My camera died on me! So sad because it means that I have to buy a new one just so I can take pictures on Dage’s and Wei Wei’s wedding day. Else, I will have to see which kind soul can lend me one just for a day…
I enjoy dinners with dad though they are always marked with much silence. Perhaps this is what we call love language of ‘quality time’?
More to come…

My tears flowed almost uncontrollably as I watched this, especially towards the end at 4:32. Jesus said that the reason why the man was born blind was ‘so that the works of God may be revealed through him…’ in John 9. This blind five year-old girl must be a witness to that! Such a simple song was sung with such innocence and belief. Indeed, I was born to be loved.
You Were Born to be Loved
You Were Born to be Loved
And you are receiving that love through your life
You Were Born to be Loved
And you are receiving that love through your life
The love from God that started since the beginning of your birth
Becomes connected with us meeting each other
You Were Born to be Loved
And you are receiving that love through your life
I reckon many times in our lives, we cry to God, asking why. Why am I in this family? Why am I in such a financial state? Why this unspeakable pain? Why this emptiness? We turn to people, who can never fully comfort. We cry for attention. We yearn for love. We have, too microscopic a view, and look at things which we shouldn’t be entertaining. I am guilty of these all. Yet, this song promises.

Love the sun - I know it is sweltering and scorching hot but I love to sun my pillows and bolsters etc. Simply love the 'smell of sun' when I sleep at night, burying myself in my comforter and all. Haa. And I know the trick to speeeeeed up the uploading process of my pictures. Yipee! Am into this song at the moment. Think of Me. Wonder if it is the melody. I know it is a little ancient but... ... Yes, been serenading myself with this song as I do my household chores. Hm... savouring my hols?
And there is All I Ask of You...
Finally, Music of the Night...
-2:55 PM
If you think Mothers’ Day is only for mothers, then you are probably wrong. Why? TomSumJo celebrated with me at Fish and Co last night, together with Michelle (for her entry to SIM). Thanks for the treat, my second family! On the actual day, they even got me an éclair, purple-coloured bread and sweet-looking stick-on pad. I remember they kept me in mind too last year during this special occasion. Godmothers are mothers too? *grin*
I also sms other mothers in church to wish them Happy Mothers' Day. Aunty Bee Gim was so cute because she also wished me the same - remembers that I am Jojo's godma. Sweet. Aunt Jennifer also sent her regards to me and said that she misses me. Phemie also emailed me to ask about my well-being. How many actually remember? Not many, but these gems are enough to make my week!

Mum bought muffins from Missy Muffins (one of the many stalls featured in a Mandarin Varity Show aimed to help stalls in dire financial state) from Amoy Food Centre. She told me that there are two stalls which sell muffins there but she has always been eating from the more established stall - the owner was a former chef from a restaurant. However, she decided to give Missy Muffins a try this time. I was looking forward to eating it and the first bite into the delicious-looking muffin made my heart pound with excitement, which lasted sadly only for a split second. The muffin was dry and tasted coarse! Okay, I cut up muffins of other flavours and ate them. Guess what? They all tasted similar, other then looking slightly different. Looks are deceiving, yeah? It is disappointing – the banana, Oreo, raisin, pandan and chocolate chip muffins all tasted almost the same! I think the muffins I make tasted better than these (and my mother agrees). It is common consensus for my mum, dad, Sharon and I that the muffins from Missy Muffins ‘CMI’(Cannot Make It, as used by Pearlyn). Haven’t tasted such terrible muffins for a long time. Wonder how long can the stall last… … *shake head*

Bought this 3-way pouch some time back in the NIE bazaar. Shuxin purchased the exact design and has been using it faithfully. I find it very useful (can contain a mobile phone, money and keys) and bought more recently. Introduced it to Sharon (who bought 9 pouches) and Michelle. Girls… … Haha.

Went to Shokudo with TomSumJo yesterday at RafflesCity. It was our first time there since the big revamp. Coincidentally, we met Sharon’s friend and her family. Her baby, Faith, was such a darling because she was happy and quiet in my arms. Her mum said she does not usually cooperate with strangers but heh, I am one of the exceptions. Haha. I love the Curry Katsu Don and Mushroom & Cheese omelet there. The chicken burger was satisfying too. However, the rosti wasn’t as good as Marche’s and the Kagiage was a wee bit disappointing (Sakae’s better). We shared our food and were too full to try the desserts there. Jo enjoyed his strawberry donut from J.CO, which serves the most delicious donuts in Singapore, in our opinions.
-2:21 PM
Went to Mustafa and found this packet of adorable crackers. Didn’t buy it though.
