Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the bright and morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
I am yours

Ah Di, Yvonne and Leslie came over to my place on Sunday with a tray of cakes. Mousse cakes to be exact. We wanted to surprise Tommy because it was his birthday the day before. Treated him to dinner at Sakae because I really don’t know what to get him. Perhaps a nice meal did the trick?

Saw this huge caterpillar – estimated 1cm in width and 7cm in length – and Joash called it Hermie. Haha. Was dead frighten that it would drop when I went near with my mobile to snap a shot.

Saw this poster while waiting for Sharon to try on her clothes.

Had lunch with Xin, Syl and DRT at a cafeteria over in NTU. I was fast enough to pay the bills and close enough to letting DRT give the rest of us a treat. Forgot to take a picture of the set lunches we had but I loved my baked fish. Were introduced to a shortcut to NTU from NIE. Yippee!

Xin, Syl and I went window-shopping at JP and settled for Coffee Bean along Moon river for a break. Hoho. I had chai and we ordered a piece of cake to share but there were traces of ginger in a supposedly fully chocolate cake. Went to tell the crew and had a brand new cheesecake in exchange. Xin mentioned that she is always caught in such a situation. We’ll see again.

I don’t particularly like people who cry for attention in a myriad of ludicrous ways. Too bad, we are surrounded by them all the time. Am not talking about babies, toddlers and young children over here. The asinine things that full grown adults say and do make me ponder about their motives and all. What exactly are they trying to achieve? Will it last? *shake head*
Had dinner with the Soh family and Justin at Bei Sheng. Love my darlings Krystal and Esther. *squeeze*
Went to Mustafa but didn’t manage to buy a camera. The salespeople weren’t very helpful. Will be back? Else I will go to Sim Lim for a look.
Enrichment classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are strangling me softly. Fortunately, I will see the last of them next week. Will be away in Cameron next weekend for a family trip – going to burn another hole in my pocket. After that will be camp from Monday to Wednesday.
The original plan today was cycling at East Coast Park but Xin is sick. One for all and all for one – canceled activity. Perhaps I can watch August Rush later.
Sweet bro bought me Kinder bueno. Been craving for it for some time. I am an easily contented person - he won my heart again. Hehe.
Been reading Vanilla – borrowed from Sharon. Must say that it is a magazine with depth. Like these:
There is nothing wrong with discarding a friendship, if you will forgive my ruthlessness. We are surrounded by people in need, ourselves included. We all need a shoulder to wail on, a patient ear to complain to, a comfy couch to sit on and yammer about nothing. There are some who will stay forever dear in our hearts, the only ones we will go to for the Answer to Any Problem. Then there are some who stay for the period that is important, and they suddenly disappear, either after a fight or for nothing, and we let them go. And we usually let them go because we can no longer give of ourselves to them. Friendships take effort and work to keep going, just like any relationship that involves your heart. And, nobody should keep a toxic relationship, where one party (or both) has turned whiney, selfish, bitchy and evil. And this applies to both women and men.
Love is rare, life is strange
Nothing lasts, people change
- Michael Feinstein singing Old Friend
Ching just called. We are going to meet for lunch at two of our favourite stalls for laksa and peanut ice kachang.
