Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the bright and morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
Am not really interested in the lyrics but I simply love the melody... The organ and drums... they keep playing in my head... Hauntingly beautiful...

Am going to have escargots tomorrow! And meet one dear angelic buddy on Tuesday! Wednesday's Dance Day. Hopefully I get to cycle on Thursday else am considering doing something again. Friday? Two more weeks to Semester 3...
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes I saw the sign No one's gonna drag you up To get into the light where you belong But where do you belong Under the pale moon
There's a danger in loving somebody too much And it's sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust There's a reason why people don't stay where they are Baby sometimes love just ain't enough
Clouds filled with stars cover your skies And I hope it rains You’re the perfect lullaby What kinda dream is this
Don't look back Keep your head held high Don't ask them why Because life is short And before you know You're feeling old And your heart is breaking Don't hold on to the past Well that's too much to ask

Went to Buddy Hoagies Café & Grill in Nee Soon South Community Club with my bro, aunt and cousins last Friday. We had the set lunches which came with soups, garlic breads, main courses and cold or cold beverages. $8.90 per set is quite a deal and we also tried the cheese fries – didn’t enjoy them because I like cheddar cheese – and calamari (Fish & Co’s is definitely better).
Went to JB with TomSumJo before getting home to wash up and attend Jolin’s wedding. She looked really gorgeous in her white gown and chirpy in her yellow one. Also had a great time catching up with Pearlyn and a few others. Got to know through Paula and Cindy that I was referred to as ‘Johore Gillian’ – a hilarious piece of news.
Dreamt that I cut my hair short on Saturday night. Scary!
Discussed with Sum on Boys Before Flowers. If we were to find a female equivalent for each of the F4 characters, she would be Yi Jung, Mich Tong would be Woo Bin and I would be Ji Hoo. Couldn't find a good match for Jun Pyo. The closest was Yvonne and Joash. Ridiculous talk, right? Hoho.
Rev Kay Kiong preached on Sunday – important reminder that I must continue to stand in the gap and intercede. Jo almost made me burst out in laughter when he stealthily made his way to my ear and whispered “Sounds like uncle”. He thought that Rev Kay Kiong was my father on the pulpit! I really miss Joash! My beloved godson!
Met the youths at TomSumJo’s place on Sunday. Haven’t seen them for some time and realised that I do miss them after all. Ah Di was wearing his new glasses. Jerome was still the same. Nicky was as usual our ‘centre of attraction’. Sweet Yvonne bought us a cheesecake from Bakerzin. Kenneth was lying on the sofa – sleeping beau.
Went shopping with Sum and my nose bled. It hasn’t bled for a long time because I used to suffer from frequent nose bleeds. Anyway, Sum was holding me for fear that I faint. Haha. Even Jo asked me in complete sentences if I was okay and needed to see his doctor later on in the evening! Am going to stay away from heaty food for a while, and only for a while. Hee.
Spent almost the entire day with SumJo yesterday. Had brunch, went shopping again and back to her home for Jo’s afternoon nap. This little prince was very well-behaved and Sum rewarded him with a new train! Went to Chong Pang for dinner last night and had the delicious Bak Chor Mee. Was stared at by a woman who was at the same table with us. She thought I was from Philippines. Is there a need for such a gesture? Okay, maybe she was shocked that I was having dinner with my ‘mum’ and ‘dad’. Sigh… Also purchased roses and osmanthus from the medicinal shop - am thinking of cooking them into porridge, rice etc. Try out new concoctions! Guinea pig? Papa!
Dad bought durians and I can’t eat. He was pretty worried too and made Chrysanthemum tea for me last night. Aw…
Going out soon to meet Ching, Marie and Mich…

Celebrated dad's birthday yesterday at Chin Huat Live Seafood along Thomson Road (opposite Novena Church) with bro. Now, there is free flow of drinks and as expected, I screamed when the live prawns jumped out of the bowl. It costs around $22 per pax after service charge and GST. Am very impressed with the BBQ food - the satays, sweet potatoes and chicken wings were tantalising! Love the Tom Yum soup and eclairs. We also had sushi, ice-creams, chocolate fondue and curry chicken. Believe Dad enjoyed his sumptuous dinner. Went to Mustafa after the fulfilling buffet dinner for a walk - always enjoy window-shopping there!

Was listening to Class 95 and reminded of The Corrs. These are three of my favourite songs from this talented band. They may be ancient but still evergreen to me...

Would you feel safe leaving your child in the hands of this tutor? I wouldn't!
Dad loves his hot milk tea after having dinner outside all the time!
Tried these cakes (sold at a corner) in the Horizon Food Court at Causeway Point. Other than the blueberry crumble, the rest tasted ordinary. In fact, I am a little disappointed...
Bro drove us to a hawker centre at ToaPayohLorong 5 for dinner. The food was cheap and good. The rojak was a big surprise because there were pieces of guavas, mangoes, red apples and jelly fish - absolutely delicious.
The Wu Xiang, which bro totally relished, was heavenly as well.
Rice is almost compulsory for dad and so he had chicken rice. The portion wasn't generous enough but the grains of rice were fragrant and moist.
We shared all the food and Bar ChorMee - I thought the price was a little steep - was on our list too.
This plate of Char KueyTeow cost a mere $2! It was a far cry from what I had in YTP's canteen - paid the same amount for a bowl of LorMee and I believed I only ate a dollar's worth.
Bro also drove us to a Seafood Restaurant near AMK Hub.
We had a hotplate of ambrosial hand-made tofu. Love the dancing flakes...
Tried Coffee Pork Ribs. Couldn't taste much coffee but it was a luscious dish.
I seldom think highly of vegetarian food unless they are cooked by mum. But this particular restaurant serves really delectable Claypot Tofu and Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Fish. It's in Chinatown and I can't remember its name. Haa... Mum and I ate till we almost burst.
Another Botak Jones wannabe? Astons' menu is more varied than BJ and I love the fact that we get to choose our own side dishes. Very systematic way of getting our orders across and the cashier is an adorable boy in his teens. Hoho.
Sorry for this messed up picture but it is the best I could get... Am totally mesmerised by the mini sausages and cold slaw. The fish was tender and the chicken, juicy and well marinated. Dad finished his portion and as usual, had his cup of tehgaoga die... Hee...
Probably will bring dad for a steamboat tonight for his birthday celebration. Coincidentally, it is also TomSum's ninth anniversary. Sweet...

Went to Pulau Ketam with mum, aunt Monica, aunt Ruby and her two princesses. It was a ladies' trip and we had lots of fun. While it was nice to be back in the arms of nature on that island, I don't think I can survive there for long - no computers, no friends, no work, no radios... but the food served was good due to the fresh seafood. Slept next to Krystal and she was pushing me off the bed as she did somersaults through the night. Sigh... I seldom sleep well when I go abroad for holidays. Thank God for the sunshine, journey mercy and love.
Survived five days in school. Sweet TomSumJo even got me a slice of cake from Secret Recipe when I couldn't go JB with them. Why am I teaching in the afternoon session? Am going to take over a primary one class (teaching English and Math) and a primary four class (teaching Science). The environment was a little cold because very few teachers greeted with smiles. The infrastructure is weird but I shall not elaborate. Have a table for my own usage but I suspect it is not a permanant arrangement and so, I avoided piling up stuff. Friday's Meet The Parents Session was exhausting because I had to stand, walk and direct for six solid hours. Joseph was feeling unwell and so he rested in the staff room while I was on duty on my own. A parent made my day with "Thanks, dear!". Okay, I am that easily satisfied.
Finished watching Boys Before Flowers on YouTube within 39 hours. Admire Ji Hoo's character in the Korean drama - his unconditional love and protection for Jan Di really touched my heart. But seriously, that is impossible for any human in reality. Although the story is extremely far-fetched, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Nothing has been this addictive!
Chatted with Ching last night over the phone. Talked about the kind of guys we like and she prefers Joon Pyo to Ji Hoo. I'll take the latter any time! Haha. Not that I like his looks - frighteningly feminine - but it is his personality in the drama which really attracted me. Ching was also telling me about her new school as well. Time for a reunion, gals! Had initially planned for dinner in town with my gfs but suddenly realised it is dad's birthday today. Lost track of dates... and how time crawls when there is no work to be done...
